Village Outing

Live a traditional village life

Village Outing - Trekking and Camping near Pune

We have a deep connection to villages and the village lifestyle. As a kid, we never got bored of coming home after the last exam paper only to start packing and to leave for village without wasting a single second. But every good things ends and so did our childhood. Sigh!

We grew up and started slogging in the workplaces till the hour hand and minute hand started to disappear slowly. We engross ourselves in office work and forget about our personal life completely. But here is a chance to re-live and re-visit our childhood experience again. Village Outing or (Patalache Gaav or Patil’s Village) has presented this amazing opportunity of camping near Pune to people like us.

Our village camping site is 14 kilometers from Kamshet and located amidst the nature.  Popularly known for Dhak Bahiri trekking and camping, the campsite is situated in a beautiful village “Thoran”. You shall be reaching by 4:00 pm. Our guide will help you reach to the campsite. You get to fetch water from our water well to get freshen up. We ensure that everything you do at our village must give you feeling of being in your own village. We purposely have kept everything in traditional style so that you would not miss out on anything.  We welcome you with a naturally cold, refreshing glass of lemon water along with some tasty village style breakfast such as Jowar thalipeeth, chutney and curd as an evening snack. This is the beauty of camping near Pune as you get to experience a pure village lifestyle right from food to surroundings.

Post evening snacks, you can unpack and rest till 5:00 pm and gear up for an amazing trekking experience in the nearby mountains. We will take you to a cave which was utilized for keeping horses used for keeping watch in the era of the Greatest Maratha Emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. After this, we take our tourists to a temple of Goddess Nagira which is opposite to the cave. You can enjoy a serene beauty of the village and surrounding area from the mountain top. The fun part is that you need to cover a forest trek to reach mountain top. You will see huge trees which are difficult to locate in city life. Also, we have arranged drinking water on the way to the mountain top. This trek shall be over by 6:00 pm and we will return to our campsite. Elderly can take rest while children can play any game they want to. We provide cricket kits and carom kits for kids to keep them busy. We think it is a great idea to make them engage in real sports rather than mechanical mobile games. Also, it is a great opportunity for children to interact with fellow kids. It helps in building a good social life for children right from tender age. Many people come especially for Dhak Bahiri trekking and camping. However, you can enjoy the beauty of this village camping if you are not up for trekking.

As mentioned earlier, we will give you a proper village lifestyle. Many people visit this place for Dhak Bahiri trekking and camping. We try our best to give the experience despite you are not going for a trek. We offer Indian style sitting arrangement for dinner instead of tables and chair. You will be given a quilt to sit on with two loads each on one side to rest your arms. A small table (a wooden paat) will be arranged to keep the plate on. We offer veg and non-veg food. In veg food, we offer pithale (a village delicacy made with gram flour and spices), vaangyache bharit (a roasted eggplant sautéed with onions and spices), thecha (green chillies pounded in a mortar and pestle along with other condiments), daal and rice. In non-veg food, we offer two types of chicken curries, a chicken stew, and three types of flat breads (bhakarya) along with rice. Post dinner, you can have fun at the campfire, listening to songs and just absorbing the village vibe. After that, you can go back to your tents and sleep with nothing but good memories. This camping near Pune surely will give you a peaceful sleep.

On the second day, we will take you for sightseeing in bullock carts. After this, you can check out. Book your stay now and get ready for a memorable experience.
